Tutorial - 003

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

to:

1. Duplicate your base and put it on screen 100%
(It depends on the image which mode you choose)

2. Color Fill: #6a2b05 – Overlay 70%

3. Color Fill: #8f866b – Overlay 100%

4. Color Balance:
Midtones: -43/-35/+6
Shadows: -42/+15/-9

5. Color Fill: #b1946e – Overlay 38%

6. Color Fill: #bda926 – Soft Light 56%

7. Color Balance:
Midtones: -30/-15/30
Shadows: -14/-21/+30

8. Brightness/ Contrast: +10/-10

9. Color Fill: #d6c618 – Screen 43% (For PSC3 users: Lighten)

10. Brightness/ Contrast: -12/0

11. Color Balance:
Midtones: -18/-20/+48
Shadows: +17/-29/+3
Highlights: -11/+17/+18

Result looks damn good. Maybe a but to much screen? You can fix it with curves if you want too.

Approximately how many layers does this wind up being overall?

Here are my layers: http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/6686/layersjh6.jpg . It might be that because of your imag you have to change the opacity of the colors, or you don't need so use some of the colors. Look what suits the image the best.
